Probably it didn't squeal because the tester doesn't put as much belt tension on it as on the vehicle and its belt tensioner with all the other accessories.
Yeah, auto parts store clerks.. You know what you're dealing with when they ask "Who makes the TrailBlazer?" C'mon? Really? (True recent story). Now I can understand with the lesser known Rainier or Bravada (which actually sounds like a Kia) but the TrailBlazer? Jeez.
