NEED HELP 9-7X Aero Wire

Does anyone know what the wire on my 2008 saab 9-7x aero that I put the red circle around is and goes too? ( I know the boot was bad in that picture but was repaired)

That does not appear to be a wire, but a tube. Could be a vent for the front diff?

If it is a vent tube, it should be tied up higher so it doesn't ingest water or dirt. There should also be a vent cap.

Based off of your manual for the 2008 driveline it appears it became detached from the engine wiring harness bracket and needs a cap if I am correct?

Its not a cap, its a one way air breather. Its the only way I know how to word it.
