2003 Trail Blazer where is the right side impact sensor located?

My 2003 Trail Blazer had a right side midship collison. I replaced the front and rear doors and now I have a Code B0078-13 and a Airbag Warning light. I can not locate that sensor to inspect or test it. I hope someone here can help and maybe send a picture of where to look. I have been inside both the front and rear doors and nothing. Behind the right front kick panel and nothing there. Can anyone here help me locate this sensor?
Attached below is a picture of the scanner I'm using to test with and the values for the sensors.

Thank you for taking your time to read my post here. I do appreciate that

Lisa

I was about to post a message that you need to make sure that your donor doors came off a vehicle that has the exact airbag placement as your truck.

Some GMT360's did not come with side air bags, so no need for a sensor.

I am thinking you need to disassemble your old doors to get all the wiring out of it, and put that wiring harness in your new door(s).

Well Tollkeeper I think you nailed the issue. Went back into both doors and there are no sensors or wiring. The original damaged doors are long gone so I can't even look there for the answer. I forget what the dates are but I believe GM used these same doors across maybe seven years, so while I got the right sheet metal the electronics are different or not there. So I have to go back to the wrecking yard and start pulling door panels and find what I threw away.

Just some additional information, this TrailBlazer has an Airbag in the right front seat too Here's a picture of the sensor that is under that seat. It has the yellow connector and it is securily attached and all wiring is secured. It's raining and starting to snow here in the north west so no wrecking yard trip real soon but I will report back what I find as soon as I can get out there. I'm lucky there are a few donar and hopefully one has what I'm looking for. Thank you ALL for your help and suggestions.

The wiring harnesses are fairly inexpensive over on eBay too..

Front Passenger Door with SRS wiring but no sensor..

Front Passenger Door with SRS Sensor

Rear Passenger Door
I cant find one... Which is odd, because I can find a Rear Drivers Door With Sensor! But no way to confirm if its the same wiring harness.

Reading your post Tollkeeper it looks like you're saying there's sensors in both front and rear doors! I'm thinking I'm going to go out to the car and pull the door panels on the left front and rear doors and and see what's there. Then I will know what's missing in my right doors.

Yes there are sensors in each door.. It will be a yellow plug with a orange (usually) safety pin.

I can tell you from what research I have seen, that the door harnesses are kinda specific. 2002 it appears is by itself, 2003-2006 are the same, and 2007-2009 are the same.

Pulled door panels off my left front and rear doors. Look what I found in the LF door. Nothing in the LR door so these cars are all different it seems. Now I know what I'm looking for and what I threw away. Live & learn... ... .

First I want to thank you all for taking your time to help me with this issue. I ended up going through a seller on eBay and bought the right front door sensor and harness. It was almost plug and play except for the speaker connector was different but that was easy to work around. Mounted sensor, put the harness in and lights off, codes gone and I'm back in business!!

Thank you all again!

The older I get, the lazier I get, so I did not go back and read all of this. What caused the original sensor to go bad? Was it water leak? Do you have to worry about the same fate for the new sensor?

The door got damaged and I went to a junk yard and got a complete replacement and it installed it. BUT, it didn't have the right side impact sensor and that turned on lights and codes. Live and learn!

Literally the first words in the first post.
Hah!!! Made you respond!!!! LOL!!!

Just cause it got hit, doesn't mean it would be bad unless they are a "one use" and replace. In all fairness, because I am talking s-h-i-t now, maybe there was an actual sensor in the replacement door that was bad from being wet????

I will guess and saying anything to keep from apologizing. LOL!!!!

No, if you remember way up there in the thread I mentioned I took off the original door and disposed of it when I got the new/used door. I threw away a good sensor and harness. The new donor door came from a car that did not have a sensor in it from the factory - different model. The harness in the new door was still plug and play but there was no sensor to talk to the BCM. Thus I needed the new/donor harness and sensor to solve the issue. Moral of the story is before discarding old parts make sure you truly compare to what you're installing and everything is there. I learned that lesson and you guys helped me resolve it!

I refer you to post #16 of this thread. I am old enough to call you a "young whipper snapper".

:2thumbsup: Maybe not a young whipper snapper at 71 years old, but I certainly suffer from CRS.
Yea, that is a well known calamity in Klamath Falls, Oregon. I am pretty sure it has to do with being so close to Ca.
I am ashamed to say that I was born in Ca. I am also ashamed to say that I live in Eugene, with plans to move to coast before my time comes.

Man, who farted!!

(all these old farts around )
