I tried searching on here, trailvoy and google and could not find what I am looking for.

My AC was overcharged and the over pressure valve keeps opening leaking. I noticed that a foil piece popped behind the compressor.

Can the compressor be saved or does it need to be replaced?

Your high pressure cut-off switch (#11, part #13587668) should have prevented any damage to the compressor. I think I know what you are referring to that is leaking, like a round flat aluminum cap? Not sure what it is but it could be a final fail safe to prevent an explosion. If it's not the switch that's leaking, I'm afraid your compressor will likely need to be replaced.Screenshot - 07_12_2017 , 1_16_11 PM.jpg

I was hoping you would not say that.

Funny thing is that AC still works and cools, it seems to spray and get anything around it soaked.

I know it is leaking cause it was a leak dye and when I use glasses and UV light it glows like the stuff in the bottle.
