'04 TB EXT front fender interchangeability

I have an '04 TB EXT that has some rust bubbles appearing on the lower edge of the left front fender. Rather than going through the trouble of trying to fit in a patch panel I want to just replace the fender. Looking online and using a couple of different sites parts charts, it seems that the standard wheelbase front fenders are somehow different from the EXT front fenders. Is this true? And if so, in what way?
Before I buy anything I'd like to know for sure it's compatible. I'll most likely have to repaint it, but such is life.

It's always been my understanding that the front fenders were all the same for the TBs. I can't imagine what would need to be different.

That's what I was thinking, too. But I thought maybe there's something I missed.

The EXTs are the same from the front doors forward. From the rear doors going back, including the tailgate, are different, except for the taillights, which are the same.

I got on Car-Part.com and typed in the info for what I need. Found a WHITE ( ) undamaged fender at a good price. Only downside is it'll be a 3 hour road trip on Saturday to go get it. It'll be worth it though. Turns out I've been in that area of Iowa before. I used to have a 1969 Ford F250 Camper Special that I wanted to convert to front disc brakes. I needed the spindles, calipers, and backing plates. Found at a place in a town not far from where I'll be going on Saturday.
The 'recycler' doesn't know I'm coming yet. Didn't find the part in time to call them today, so I'll do that tomorrow after work. They'll pull the part and have it ready.
