['02 Suburban K1500] Looking for a good cig lighter ground

Hi,
I decided to install a cigarette lighter in a repurposed Onstar panel (removed the back legs with the retainers and grafted a solid black panel onto those) where the dash cubby lives under the inward passenger vent in the dash.

Now, looking at the diagrams, the ground termination for the factory installed cig lighter is in the upper left kick panel (the L-shaped trim panel next to the parking brake pedal).
I'd like to run the cig lighter ground to the upper right kick panel. Is there a splice/ground block there of any kind to easily hook up the ground cable?
Or any other location that I can safely attach the ground to the chassis near the dashboard frame?
I don't want to use any random location to trigger GM's electrical goblins, I already had to use a 12 VDC straight inverter to filter out the power for my CB radio.

The most serious consideration with your project will be the use of Pure Copper Wire having sufficient substance (AWG) to bear up under the sudden demand placed upon it to carry HIGH CURRENT.

The other aspect is perhaps to add in an additional intermediate Automotive Fuse matching the OEM for the Cigarette Lighter, close enough behind your On-Star Panel to easily access and exchange ...should the Amperage Draw become excessive by anything utilitarian that gets plugged into the Cigarette Lighter *business end* and draws too much current.

Amazon carries a LOT of wire...However ... eschew the use of any cheap -= Tin Coated Copper Clad Aluminum Wire (CCA) =- for any similar applications.

Here is a link to peruse and images-data on OFC to consider:

Oh, I know. The cig lighter coil should draw at least 8 amps, and I got the power wire already fused and ready for the hookup. I usually buy my 10, 12 and 14 AWG wires from a local electric supplies warehouse that carries these in silicon insulation, so I'm good. And I always make sure to crimp AND solder all terminals to be on the safe side.
I basically did all extra systems like that, fused, relayed, and with good all-copper strands: the front and rear park sensors, the extra power outlets in the cargo space left-hand cubby, and the extra switches for aux hi beams and read LED fog lights...

Now, to find a proper ground, I don't want to run another pair of wires through the firewall... :diggrave:

Fixed it.

For a ground, you could just use any metal part under the dash and use a self drilling and tapping screw or an existing screw screw or bolt that holds the dash. I've done that lots of times.
