Hi,
I decided to install a cigarette lighter in a repurposed Onstar panel (removed the back legs with the retainers and grafted a solid black panel onto those) where the dash cubby lives under the inward passenger vent in the dash.
Now, looking at the diagrams, the ground termination for the factory installed cig lighter is in the upper left kick panel (the L-shaped trim panel next to the parking brake pedal).
I'd like to run the cig lighter ground to the upper right kick panel. Is there a splice/ground block there of any kind to easily hook up the ground cable?
Or any other location that I can safely attach the ground to the chassis near the dashboard frame?
I don't want to use any random location to trigger GM's electrical goblins, I already had to use a 12 VDC straight inverter to filter out the power for my CB radio.
