Sound started this morning and I thought the fan clutch went.
I replaced the fan clutch today...twice. Each time with a different brand. First replacement was a brand new Dorman. Did not fix it so I returned it thinking that it was defective. Switched to a brand new Carquest. Nope...still sounds like I'm driving a jet engine.
Took the front fuse cover off and switched #45 & 46 relays. Did not work.
Unplugged the fan clutch with the engine running and I can hear the clutch clicking each time, so I know it's making a good connection.
Still a jet engine sound. The fan will not disengage and I keep getting a P1481 code.
Anything I should look for or try next??
