I installed a 4in lift in the rear and upgraded the schocks to longer shocks. I heard that using the z71 shocks will give it a better ride when towing to elimnate the sagging. Is this the case and can they be installed with the coil spring spacers that are in the rear?

What shocks did you end up going with? The stock Z71 shocks are junk and will not really work if you managed a 4" lift in the rear. You must have a hell of a rake.

They are monroe sensa tracks..no complaints at all and use the stock coils but i heard that changing to the z71 coils will help the truck from sagging when towing. WHat do you mean by rake?

rake is when one end of the vehicle is different then the other. If you have 4" of lift, the rear is going to be much higher then the front.

The Z71 springs are different than the shocks. They are a higher rated and progressive so they will not sag as much. You could also add bags to the springs which will help as well.

Yes. Airlift1000 bags inside the coils. They're adjustable to accommodate different hitch and cargo weights. Different size needed for the Z71 springs versus stock coils. I've had both.

i looked into doing bags but it seems like alot more work and alot more stuff needed. Does anyone know the part number or anything for the coil springs? I want to see how much they might cost?

The Z71 spring will also add about another 1.5" of lift, so it will add to your rake.

I was looking into lifting my trailblazer and was wondering what year tahoe do we need for the Z71 springs? and is there any other hardware needed to mount them or is it just swap and replace? Thanks for the info.
Dan

Edit: nevermind, just had to do some more searching....:compu-punch:
