Im running 265/70/17 Falken Rocky Mountains. They were nice in the summer and for dry trails; absolute poop traction in the rain. I spin out all the time. Im gonna change them out in the spring when the demand for beefy tires goes down

I echo the Mich Latitude Tours, stock size. Fairly expensive ($200 ea) but worth it IMHO, best tires I have ever owned. No idea how they do off road but dry/wet/snow/bad roads they have been amazing. MPG went up 1 or so from the old continentals, much quieter too.

245/75/16 Treadwright pumas, the tires are great I have no complaints. For the price you can't beat a treadwright tire.

I got a set of 265/65/17/ Firestone Destination A/T and found a mint/stored set of stock wheels on CL for ours. I just run them 4mos.thru the winter, though next summer we'll be needing to replace the Bridgestone's that came with it..:sadcry:

Maxxis AT 771 255/70/16 will fit with no lift and no spacers.
They have worked great for me on the beach, I rarely air down anymore.
No problems in the mud but I don't do a lot of mud or rocks.
They are a little louder than a street tire but not bad.

they need to be rotated regular though to keep them smooth. I'm starting to see what I expect you call cupping in the tread.

Pirelli Scorpion ATR, 35,000 on them. 255/70/16. Great tire, Much better than the OEM's and the HORRIBLE Goodyear Fortera's I had on. Good in snow, rain, and sand, not the best for deep mud. The surprise was the dry traction/handling response... it's stellar.

Michelin Latitude Tour, one of the best tires I have ever used. I have about 3/32 of tread left, 1/32 usable and they are still quiet and smooth, @70K. Granted concrete roads now are noisy but that's understandable for having almost no tread left.

I don't think I will buy again this time around, I know they are an extremely quiet tire, but almost $200 over the Conti's or Bridgestone doesn't seem like quite the deal, especially since the Ecopias are showing equal or better MPG and also quiet.

For winter, mounted on steel spare wheels are Bridgestone Blizzax DM-V1, absolutely amazing snow tire. I can do almost in 2WD what the stock cross-terrains did in 4WD, when new...no joke.

Gamer...i'm curious what made you go with the 265 width over the 255, since the 255 is closer to stock? I want the MS2 also but not sure about going with a plus size...how do they ride?

What's your Upper Ball loint clearance look like running the 265.

I had a set of 265/65/17 Kumho's on mine after the stock CT's wore out, they fit but it's close...prob a good 1/2 inch though, never had any rubbing issues.

Might as well go a little bigger, the speedo will be off a little big but they fill out the wheelwells better IMO. I went with 265/70R16s over 245/70R16s simple because they're an 1" larger in diameter. Helps the 02s got a lift, but theres no reason they wouldnt fit on a stock height truck.

I run th Mich Cross Terrian and they have been great. Almost 55,000 miles and they are still going strong. Probably will have to get new tires for next winter but will be thinking the same tire.

I have no illusions of these being the best tires ever. I didn't want to spend 800-1000 on just the tires. Looked over reviews of many different brands and cost ranges and found these to be a great price point with generally good reviews. We were coming into the fall and my stock Contis were nearing the end of their life (little/no tread on the outside edges of the fronts and cracking on all 4 and one tire got a screw through the sidewall). I've got just under 4k miles on them now and am happy. They have good traction in wet and dry but have a bit of understeer. Haven't had snow to try them out yet but it can't be any worse than the Contis last year. Good gas mileage with them on long road trips. For a tire that costs $140 each, not a bad purchase. We'll see what kind of life I get from them.

Summer: OEM Goodyear RS-A's 255/50R20 - Got at least another season in them but I think there may be some Toyo Proxes ST II's coming up...

Winter: Bridgestone Blizzak's 245/75R17 on used 17" OEM rims - Good winter tires that aren't too noisy on dry roads. They're a little taller than the summers but still fit easily and fill out the wheel wells nicely

Love the tires! Seems like I get more slip and spin with the wider tire.
I guess I'll find out more when the snow flies!

265-70-17 general grabber at2's they're great tires and have conquered all the trails I went on even before I got the extra clearance with the stiffer springs! I also just made a trip across the Midwest in Colorado and kansas with all of the snow and they did excellent I had zero traction issues!

Have not experienced the roll sensation with my cross terrains but an interesting observation that is good to note since I must replace the tires next year I figure.

Running a set of 285/70r17 BFG All-Terrains. Pretty darn quiet on the road, and I'm sure they'll do just fine once snow decides to fall

I've got about a hundred miles on a set of 265/40/R22 Toyo Proxes STs. They are absolutely quiet and also easier to turn the wheel when compared to the 17" Uniroyals I had before.

Just put 300 more miles on these babies! Mileage is showing 16.4 mpg which is an improvement over the 16.0 I was getting before. I'm pretty sure I'm not driving any differently... other than avoiding potholes and curbs like the plague, LOL.

Hankook Ventus AS P255/x/17 in the summer, spring, and fall. They're not bad - pretty quiet and good traction on dry and wet pavement. A perfectly suitable tire for the kind of driving I'd do in 2+ ton SUV.

Firestone Winterforce P235/x/17 in the winter, on a set of OEM wheels. The wheels and tires set me back about $1k total and I swap them out in late-March and late-October. The Winterforce tires are a "budget" winter tire and are the first set of winter tires I've had. They have made me a believer. Amazing grip compared to run-of-the-mill all-seasons. I'd take a 2WD vehicle with winter tires over 4WD with all-season tires for driving in the white stuff.

I've got 275/45/20 Yokohama Parada Spec-X. I need to look to see how many miles on them, I just swapped them to the new SS. I won't be buying them again though, they don't look like they're going to last nearly as long as they should have but my main gripe is they flat-spot VERY easily so sometimes (most of the time) it rides horrible and sometimes it rides good. I will be replacing them with either the Bridgestone Dueler Alenza HL or Michelin Latitude Tour HP.

I too have Michelin Cross Terrain's. Been very pleased with them so far however, I don't believe they make them anymore. I think the replacement is the Latitude HP or something like that. These tires don't seem to get the same accolades the Cross Terrains do. Wear seems to be the issue in addition to price, but they are Michelin's.

I have been edging to the Cooper Discoverer CTS. Good price and for the most part great reviews. I have had Coopers in the past and was pleased with them.

I just bought new tires last week. They are "General Grabber HTS" 245/70R/16's. So far they ride well and look good. Total damage was $550.

OEM Cross Terrains, 245/65/17, been a great Pacific Northwest all season tire. Have a couple thousand miles left. If I get another all season it will be the Michelin LTX MS2 I suspect. But still deciding all season or AT. Have a few more mile to choose. Will be going to a 255/65/17.

I have the GoodYear Wranglers that came on it. Had I bought it new I would have made the dealer swap tires, as I despise GoodYear, however I got the truck used, certified, at a good price and the tires were brand new, so I'll live till I get new ones. Every vehicle I have ever owned came with Goodyears, and the best upgrade every one of those cars got was ditching the GoodYears. Absolute garbage. Would like to try a set of the new Cooper Discoverer A/T3

Tire rack still carries the Mich cross terrian

Thanks for this info. I currently have 275-55-18's on my Denali. I looked on Tirerack and they don't show this size. My stock size is 245-60-18(which they don't list as well) but really like the larger tire. The problem is these tires were put on my truck as it was coming of lease in 2008, and although the mileage hasn't hurt them, they are dated from 2001 so they are now 11 years old. They are showing a little sidewall checking.

If anyone knows where I can find a NEW set of these I would appreciate hearing.

thanks

Discount Tire has 14 tires in the stock size for a Denali: Tire Products By Vehicle - Discount Tire . You're best bet is to stay with that size. The only other option for you is a 255/55/18 which has plenty of choices, but the price is about the same and is 1.7" shorter in overall diameter (which will put your speedometer reading 1.8% too fast). Not to mention it will probably look goofy.
