So a few days ago we bought a 2003 blazer with 290k miles. The guy said he backed it out and when he put it in forward it wouldn’t go. We got it home and put more trans fluid in it and it got reverse back but still no forward gears. I bought a trans filter fluid and a bottle of instant shudder fix and took the pan off and found a blow up solenoid. My buddy had one off of on older transmission so I put that solenoid in and it looked slightly different but plugged into the harness and everything fine so we put the pan back on and filled it with fluid. When we got it started it has a strong reverse and when I pull it into drive I can feel it and the rpm drops like it’s in head but it has no forward movement. Could that solenoid be why?
