I've tuned my OBD1 cars and now want to get into the OBD2 arena. Downloaded a demo of HPTuners VMC Suite. Found the Fan speed % Vs Coolant Temp settings in the Editor. But I'm having concerns as it does no list our fan data in the VMC Scanner program. Looks like fan info is special GM PID's. And I can't seem to find any info on them . Any VMC tuners out there with thoughts on the product for our 4.2's ?

Thanks. I see scarabepic22 out on the EFILive forum, and played around and found the fan data on EFILive Scan V7.5 demo software. I was trying to decide between the HPTuners and EFILive for the '07 4.2 setup.

If you go the EFILive route Scarab is the man to talk to. I understand that there are a few others around here that run the HPTuners.

2007 was a bit of an oddball year and as such isn't as well supported as others. HPT does not have the amount of fan parameters as it does for the 2006.
Any time I do a swap for a 2007, I swap the PCM over to a 2006. It's pin-for-pin compatible, but the 2006 is better hacked.
