A lot of discussion about amazing results after cleaning throttle bodies. It was a slow day so I did the TB and the MAF and as suspected, there was no difference at all. Very little crud in the TB at 70K...I'm thinking that it would have to be pretty fouled to notice a change. FTR my 5.3 was running great to begin with...so it's no surprise that the results of the cleaning were zip....Mike.

The 4.2 I6 seems to be the engine that gets the biggest benefit from the t-body cleaning because of the absence of the PCV valve.

Makes sense, I failed to take into account that most of the 360s are sixes. Wonder why no PCV

We have PCV. We just don't have the PCV valve. That's the part that would collect the crud that gunks-up the t-body.
