Symptoms of bad ignition switch?

I can search myself of course, but I haven't seen this one particular symptom mentioned anywhere else so while I have it on my mind I thought I'd throw it out there.

Sometimes when I remove my key quickly from the ignition switch, the Easy Exit seat feature does not activate. Slow or partial key removal always seems to work...is this any indication for me to expect more serious future ignition switch problems?

Figures - just like the stupid tranny valve body missing a dipstick guide, and if I didn't get a picture I'd look like a dumbass forever ;-)

I didn't have the easy exit feature on my Envoy, but I had a problem that was similar to yours. Sometimes when I pulled the key out, while in a hurry and while getting out, the key would come out, but the cylinder did not turn all the way to "LOCK".

I think it was a worn cylinder, letting the key be removed before it was completely turn off.
