Thought I'd share my experience on how to do the conversion look. I was able to do it on my other TB and was able to acquire parts, mostly, OEM used parts locally and online. It was a great and challenging experience. All questions are welcome. This is a wonderful site and we'll make it a great one.

You can just get the lowering kit for the ss and use the springs in the back. Lots of guys switch to springs. Cool post.

Not a problem. But I won't ever be converting to the SS look due to the price of the parts. I was lucky to find both non SS bumper covers that I wanted for $175 each. It also belongs in the "GMT360/370/305 Platform" forum. Not the "Full Size".

$175 is how much I paid for my front SS bumper locally and picked it up right away since opportunities like that don't come very often. And the good part was, The color matches my TB so I was happy. Drove 70 miles for it. So worth it.

I thinly you would need some kind of bracket for the middle of the bumper. I'm pretty sure there's a lil more to it when mounting ss rear bumper. I'm sure someone will chime in with a more direct answer.

Yeah, IIRC only 06+ LT bumpers will mount a SS w/o mods. 02-05 LT/02-09 LS need to have a brace (seen square bar used) where the step is.

got to be careful though. you get what you pay for. Depends on the condition and how it was fixed or damaged. I guess the question about the braces has been answered.

Hi, I was wondering, I have an '06 LT TB. If I buy the front SS bumper cover will that fit right in place of my current cover or is there brackets or anything I will need to get? I have to replace it anyways so I thought an SS front bumper cover would look great.
