Doesn't look too bad at all except that it looks like a replacement hood... kinda outta place with the rest of the shiny paint - IMO... :undecided:

Now if you decide to leave the raised part of the hood "dipped", that would look better I think...

I dipped the bumper too, I'm planning on dipping whole truck this week as long as it doesn't rain. Just wanted to see if I liked it first. More pics to come.

Haha that should be good , me and some guys at work were going to spray a penis on this guy's car at work that nobody likes but the owner said the guy would literally cry.. So we skipped doing.

I think you need to learn to edit your photos first.

But otherwise it looks good. Me and the wife are tossying back and forth about weather or not to plasti dip ours matte black.

Yeah I don't get it, photos come out fine everywhere else but here their upside down, sideways. Whatever you get the gist of it. Looks better in person, pictures don't do justice. As for holding up, think it will be fine, my rims have Been plasti dipped for over a year and thorough sandy and a blizzard. The still look good to me..

I like the look. So how much plasti dip did you need and how much thinner?

What does it look like when opening the doors? Thinking about the thresholds, dipped that too?

I just used the spray cans of plasti dip too do mine, but you can thin you're own or buy kit on online. I opened the doors after each coat to not have any sticking around doors.

I thought about doing the gunmetal. Think I might just by a few cans of black, white and grey and see what appeals to me.

Gun metal grey would look great, was thinking of trying flat white but would have to get kit to be able to fully cover in white.

$300 then, if you live in Canada. Plasti Dip is $20 a can. Looks good though.

Holy Crap! For that price head a little south over the border and get it at Home Depot. 6$ a can.

Looks very good, The only problems I could see in wear our the dirt kick up areas by the wheel wells but I mean I have had this stuff on my wheels for over a year now....Haven't touched them they have gone through snow and ice salted roads multiple times Im getting tires soon and I think that will probably be the thing that does them in on the mounting machine

Just out of curiosity, since im about to do my wheels. What is the best way to clean surfaces after the Plasti-Dipping has been done? Just normal hand-wash method, with a cloth or sponge? Any other method i can think of, I just see the plati-dip being pulled up(scrub brush, etc.).

Seems any normal car wash or hand wash won't hurt it, and dipyourcar.com says its good up to 1600 psi powerwashers, just stand back a ways and be careful.

Yeah just make sure everything is completely dry before plasti dipping and after its done I just use soap and water with a lint free towel.

you should gloss those tails up a little, throw a simple one coat of tint on the heads and you got yourself a midnight rider! looks nice man! I am not a fan of matte black but looks good on your truck with the mods!
