so i went to the station to fill up the gas tank since getting the TB and if i put the fuel in at any rate faster than a trickle, then it shuts off almost like something is blocking the tube. I was able to get the job done but it took a few minutes longer than i expected. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what caused it? Thanks!

thank you for the link. i tried searching but i guess i wasn't using the right keywords or something. sounds like it's somewhat common but at least it gives me a few places to check!
I discovered on another TB forum there was a sticky about this problem and the fix mentioned there was that supposedly there was a poor design with the bends of the factory fill tube and that the fix is to replace the tube. my concern about replacing the tube is that it seems that ALL of the aftermarket fuel fill tubes for the TB's have issues finding gas caps that fit and seal. I am going to replace the vent solenoid that's mounted behind the tank and will see if that fixes the problem during the next fuel fill. Hopefully that fixes it!
i replaced the vent solenoid and still have the issue so i'm going to replace the fuel fill tube as mine was extremely rusty and as i did paint it, i have doubt as to how long it will last. a question I have is that inside the rubber hose that connects the tube to the fuel tank there is a plastic valve inside the hose. what is it's purpose? is it to help deter fuel theft? Is that what i've read that fails inside those hoses eventually which then slow the fuel flow? What if i knock that valve out of the hose? would there be any negatives to doing that?

It's a rollover valve. It shouldn't affect fuelling.
Check your charcoal canister. If it's plugged up with dust or is losing its charcoal into the pipes, that can also cause this issue. For the filler hose, check that it's not kinked. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

This is not from any knowledge of the system but just from hearings things here and there.
Isn't there a rollover valve of some sort somewhere to prevent fuel running out in case of accidental 'inversion' shall we call it?
