Not sure how this happened, but the lense on my passenger side mirror signal light is broken. Seems the tab that holds the lense to the underside of the mirror housing is broken and now the lense vibrates when driving.

Anyone have some advice on how to fix/change this lense, or do I need to buy a whole new mirror assembly?

Maybe you could use a little clear silicone to hold it in and stop it from vibrating. Cheaper than buying a whole new mirror.

There is either a "how-to article" or a thread somewhere on Trailvoy about removing and replacing these.

No need to go over to the zombie forest. Since Jman owns the right to that article he posted in the GMTN article section.

[EBAY]320929556562[/EBAY] could this be true if so this would be cheaper than buying the lens

Thanks for the replies, I am away camping right now and have just used a little black duct tape to hold the lense in place until I get home. Hopefully I can easily find the clear or smoked lenses for my repair.

Just got around to fixing this signal lense today. Picked up both driver and passenger sides for $48 total from the local GM dealer. I was surprised how cheap they were considering people on ebay wanted around $32 each for them. The 'How To' on the mirror replacement is well done, just thankful I didn't have to replace the whole mirror assembly.
