Set Idle Adaptation

AutoZone pulled my codes (a couple months ago) and they also gave me a printout. It was P0506. I was told that's a dirty throttle body code, so I removed it, cleaned it, reinstalled and the code disappeared. That was awhile ago and I just noticed now that the printout includes as a suggestion "Clean Throttle Body and Set Idle Adaptation."

What is "Set Idle Adaptation?"

I'm not sure of this...but I am guessing they refer to the PCM relearning the nuances of your throttle body after it is cleaned. I understand you are supposed to disconnect the battery or some such thing when you service a throttle body. This causes the PCM to reacquaint itself with the clean throttle body
