Ok the title says it all. 2002 TB with 175,000 on the clock. Cloth manual seats (LS). My issue is that my seatbelt light comes and goes as it pleases. I always buckle up, so I am wondering what to do about it. It seems to me that jiggling the base and or unbuckling and re-buckling my belt has no effect at all. I am assuming there is a sensor built in that is bad? Or bad wiring somewhere? As I said, I am always buckled up, so I am even considering pulling the cluster and just removing the bulb. I have no intentions of ever selling this vehicle and I am the only driver so I really can see no reason not to do that. Unless there is something I can do to fix it? Any ideas?

Trace the wiring and hopefully locate an intermittent open. Or plug in the passenger seat belt even if there's nobody there and see if you have a flaky passenger butt sensor switch.
