Right rear shock mount broken

Greetings,

02 TB, stock suspension. I noticed a knock in the drivers side rear and when I looked at it, I realized the top of shock mounting point had completely come off the frame. I wouldn't consider this car to be a rust laden at all and I'm really surprised that it would just break the frame metal like that.

So, how deep am I? Has anyone ever addressed this by welding or am I looking at a whole frame issue. Many thanks in advance.

Luckily I was able to find a good welder where I live. All fixed!

Thanks for the report. Sorry many of us who could have replied, failed to. Any chance you took pictures before the repair? Finding a local welder was what all of us would have said - it was pretty obvious.
