Question on pulling rear bearings

Where do I yank them from?

If i remember right, at the lower arrow.

The other thing is a oil "splash guard" kind of, dont know the right word for it.

Be sure to have both a torch and some freeze spray at hand, you will probably need it. I know i did.


Are the bearings bad, or are you just replacing them when you changing your leaking oil seals,,,just guessing:smile:

This is the donor SS axle I installed and the axles are bent. I don't want to chance the bearings being compromised.

Come to find out that's the ABS reluctor wheel and it doesn't seem that I can get the puller in between unless there's a trick.

Does the ABS ring need to come out? I don't need it since mine is an 02.

Does the ring get destroyed in the removal?

Yeah, that was interesting. No heat or freeze....just some expletives.

Well, I just laid into the slide hammer since I don't have any special tool that can grab the bearing leaving the ABS ring in there. I don't need the ring anyway so once I was about to give it a rest, I figured a good war cry with a few more hits should pop it out.
