Here's what I want to happen. Both rear bulbs on each side do the same thing. Park, Stop, Signal. No difference in function for the top or bottom red lights.

I know I have to modify the boards. I would really like to not use the trailer harness if possible.

Sorry that I'm asking a question that I could probably piece together an answer to on my own, I just want to make sure I get it right the first time.

This is doable. I know one member on here actually sells replacement boards that function this way but I can't remember who it is.

Just peel the boards apart and using the contacts from a donor board add them to the board you will be using in your truck, superglue it back together and clamp it....done....the only way (reliable) you will get the quad brake/turn is if you use the trailer harness and tap into it. Unless you are lucky enough to find a pair of Jetttstreams quad boxes. Trust me, been there done that, have true quads on both my TB's....got rid of the Jetttstream boxes when I switched to LED's since thay are not compatible with LED's

Since you have an 02 there may be a possibility that when you open the boards the are ran with wires rather then the brass strips. Mine were wires inside and it made things a lot better for me to wire them together.
