So I decided to take some initiative and finally dip my chrome parts. However taking them off turned out to be a hassle. Anyways it turns out that all the parts are plastic chrome. My question to you guys is if I need to prep the pieces, (ie: sanding, etc) . I hope to spray them as soon as I found out so I can reapply them on my truck!
Thanks guys

:iagree:

remember, Plasti Dip is a rubberized coating, so whatever surface it is sprayed on, when you peel it off, that surface will be revealed again... so no scuffing required... just clean up the area, and spray away!

Plastic chrome can be removed by spraying it with Easy Off oven cleaner and letting it sit for an hour. Sometimes you have to do it twice to get it all off.
