Not the Actuators

This is my first post to this forum. Been a long time follower and have read many useful posts that have save me lots of money.

I had the classic ticking noise come from the back of my 02 Trailblazer. It would last about a minute then stop. After using the search feature here I ordered the 2 actuators for the back. Well I went out today and the actuators are fine. However the door/flap (part #36?) that is engaged by the actuator is broken.

Does anyone have a part number for that?

Part #36 of what diagram? Post the diagram you're referring to. With there being two actuators I'd assume that there is two doors so #36 tells us nothing lol.

Welcome to the Nation! Glad you like it here!

I tried to update my profile but I didn't know the answer to all the questions so it wouldn't let me save it.

I have an LT or at least thats what it says on the outside of the drivers door.

The image you posted is for the long wheel base versions, with the 3rd row seats. If you have the short wheel base version, that graphic won't apply to your vehicle, that's why I bring it up.

I apprecitate that very much.

I do have the 3rd row of seats.

Anyone have that part number? Or at least a part name that maybe I can look up?

I appreciate it very much for getting me started in the right direction. If I find a part number I will post it here in case someone else needs it in the future.

Thanks again.

Thank you for that link.

I sent an email to NalleyGMC to see if they had a part number specifically for the door. If I don't hear back from them in the next day or so I will order the entire enclosure.

You guys rock.

saw this on an old post. dont know if it helps

Since I have to buy more parts and
disassemble the case again, I figured I would
replace the rear temperature blend door that
I broke, but I cannot find it. The dealer said
that I need to buy half the case (P/N
89023340) to get the door at $103, which I
found online for $72, but I can't see buying
the case when I do not need it. I could not
find it at any local junk yards either. Can
anyone recommend a potential supplier?

I never heard back from NalleyGMC nor my local chevy dealer, which is where I bought the car to begin with.

Parts dot com charges a handeling fee as well as shipping. When you add all of that it came out to the same price as the one on GMPartsNow website. So I ordered it from there instead.

Thanks for everyones help.

I got my assembly about a week ago and finally got a chance to work on it last night. It was a major ordeal trying to get it swapped out. Referencing the first diagram, parts # 34 & 16 are situated inside the case. The only way to lift the unit out is to go under the car and disconnect some fittings that appear to be HVAC and Heater related items. I don't have HVAC experience or tools. So I then tried to split the case open by removing all the screws that hold the case together. Well you can't do that because of those same pipes/tubes. After several hours of trying different things I finally just manhandled the two halves and got it open just barely wide enough to get the replacment door flapper in place. I got the replacment flapper out of the new assembly that I took apart. But wait theres more. After I got everything buttoned up I still had that classic thumping noise. So I had to replace the actuators as well. Double wamie for me.

Pulling the fuse and resetting the actuators was the easiest part of the whole process.

Now onto the next thing. Drivers side front vents blows with very little pressure and hot while the passenger side blows with good pressure and blows cold.
