Owned my 2002 Envoy for 13 years. Bought it with 150 k miles. Now it has 200k miles

I've never changed the fuel filter. While it looks easy enough to do, my Envoy is running so great I almost don't want to mess with anything! 😆

I'm not sure if the previous owner ever swapped it out either.

Should I just go for it? Or leave well enough alone?😆

Personally, I'd replace it while it's not acting up. Preventative maintenance will keep you off the side of the road. It is simple to do but you will likely break the plastic strap that holds it in place so have a zip tie handy. Replace the filter with a quality one and you shouldn't have anything to worry about for a long time.

What is the shader type fitting with the cap on it for? Testing fuel pressure with a gauge or draining fuel ?

It's the test port for a pressure gauge.,
