So start off by saying was kinda in a spot when a bought my tb, didn't really love it but has definitely grown on me. Just always use d to having something with a little more power. Now that I'm back I'm a better situation I'm looking to trade in for something, looking into trailblazer ss or maybe 300c srt maybe, suggestions. . Nothing to expensive, any thoughts? (past cars lexus is300, Nissan 300,3000gt,ram hemi)

You could go for a 5.3 or an SS. I think my 5.3 has plenty of power, but it's up to you. Maybe test drive one?

It all depends in your taste, how deep your pockets are, and how much more power you want or how fast do you want to go... remember the SS Is a heavy pig and takes some money to go fast in them.. now and days your typical family sedans can blow past a stock SS...

Since you mentioned nothing too expensive, I'm guessing you want fast right out of the box compared to modding and voiding warranties or breaking parts.. SRT's are holding there value pretty well.. (here in ohio at least) like a used GCSRT8 is still over 30k depending on mileage.. challengers are well over 20k.. but the 300's are around 20ish... what will the new ride be used for? Strictly fun? Daily driver? Family car? Lot of factors here... what about a 5th Gen Camaro SS? New 5.0 mustangs? Possibilities are endless here...

I don't mind modding the ss I've just come to a point where the only so much in can do to a tb.. So it will be my daily driver but also have a is300 to use for trips and such. Pockets aren't too deep and i won't be drag racing but would definitely like something the faster, sounds good and can mod in future.

I have to say that I agree with this.. And if an Aero is not an option, there are plenty of the 5.3 models out.. 2 of them are on ebay right now.

Right now I want a 2013 wrx. Faster 0-60, 1/4, and stops sooner 60-0 than an STI. Base models, if u find one $25-28k

Used Audi A4/A6 Quattro, or 370z

Anything else I want is "too expensive". Srt's, loaded GC's or 4runners. Find a cheaper X5?

And I never plan on trading in my TB.

AWD 5.7chargers can lay it down. Buddy picked me up last weekend on a "test" drive:wootwoot:

Either that, or look for a BMW X6. For some reason I love those things.. And I hate BMW.

What about an older Audi S4? 2005-2006 are relatively cheap plus AWD for the snow...

The Pontiac G8 has my vote. The only American car to withhold its resale value better than any other American car, and its dead sexy to boot!

I though about getting a 350z or g35 or older audi because I've always been a car guy but since it nought the tb I found it really handy with all the extra space. Going to the beach during the summer and stuffing a whole Xmas tree in the back this winter, can't do that in a coupe haha. I'm really leaning towards a tbss just not sure it really worth the upgrade from a tb, that's why asking for opinions of anyone who made the jump.

Found a tbss a the dealership I bought my tb at couple years ago, going to hopefully test drive tomorrow..

I drove a tbss when I stopped in NV for an oil change and got the kid to grab the keys, apparently they didnt see my MN plates or pay attention when I said I was just going through town:confused:

Gave him quite a ride:rotfl:
Sales manager offered to lower $4k when they knew I had no interest today.

I think you'll have a great idea what to look for. Pics!

After seeing the SS' here I would immediately start modding the hell out of the block/tranny:yes:

Made an appt tomorrow at 1030 am, well see..

Is there an online listing? I've got time to kill later. Is it AWD or 2?

Enjoy the drive!

No went down this morning to test drive and they brought wrong truck Over, they apologized and said they go get the tbss but had to be at work at 12. So either going to try to go tomorrow morning or have to wait until Monday on my day off. I was so disappointed..

That sucks. Sound like my dealer experience, Rick Hendrick Chevy wanted to charge me $1500 to get the vehicle I was looking at. Told the guy I wasn't a crazy moron and walked out, he started s**ting bricks and wanted me to stay.

That's Bolshevik man! Personally I would write a letter about your displeasure with them and hand deliver it to sales manager. See if they will offer you something better now that the calendar month has passed. They may have tried to pad their pockets for May... It could be a nice $$ reduction and if not the manager has to live with an unhappy experience from a prospective buyer- from a dedicated GM owner nonetheless. You had a scheduled appointment!
Why do they offer appointments? What is the purpose of offering scheduled test drives? Apparently someone never got "the memo"

Oh I definitely bring that up when or if I start negotiations, the other dealer is only 20 mins away, so having it brought down to my dealership shouldn't have been a problem.

May I suggest driving the first few minutes with almost no throttle, once salesman is too comfy or asks to turn back- Punch it and give er hell!:rotfl:
Trick is to go bipolar. Be timid then go a lil crazy! :rotfl:
Or
Once negotiating, ask to drive the truck again! And again and again and again!

Just trying to make it a little more enjoyable experience than it has been so far.

Enjoy the drive!

I know there always loyalty to an extent, but why not deal with the lot that actually owns the ss? Or do they have multiple locations? I would imagine the owning dealership can hit your numbers if they really want to sell.

The dealership I went to are all owned by same company , just one is closer to me then the other. I hit a good number on tbss but they offered me shit for my trade in, no way I'm going to eat 5k I'd be way upside down.

Dealers rely on folks wanting a new ride so bad they are willing to eat $5k. They almost rely on this. I know a few people who have NEVER come to $$terms at the dealer. Always been on the phone when dealer CALLS them to counter their latest "I actually walked out" offer. Leave a salesman your #. Unless there have been a few inquiries, you are bound to get a call back.

Way to be able to walk and not complain what you "were suckered into"!

Haha thanks man, I love the haggling game but I like to win. Wanted that ss bad but not in a rush by any means, I'll give him a email a or text in a couple days and say no thanks. See if they have a counter offer..

Any chance you got an odo reading? It is helpful as ammo when countering. Either someone's driving it home or people don't want it? Which is it?
Advertised mileage is never the same as the odometer. When you notice a significant difference, 50+miles, tell them you noticed the increase in miles...

Heh, walking out is what got me my TB actually. What they were asking wasn't out of line for the truck, but it was just above what I really had to spend. So I said thanks, no thanks, and he went "wait wait" and met me at my price. All that after saying he didn't believe in the haggling game :rotfl:

No I didn't check the odometer, maybe I'll have to test drive again haha. I'm going to give them a couple days to counter offer, if not no rush I'll keep looking. I do know some guy on tbssowners went to look at same one..

Anybody know a free way to check a vin or history of the truck I'm looking at?

Compnine.com, I believe still gives you a 24 hour demo.
