Is this coming from my CV boot or ?

Just ordered new motor mounts and will tackle those this weekend, but while I was poking around I noticed this on the passenger side.
CV boot looks fine. It's been hella cold lately, maybe there is a crack or tear and when it warms up from driving it opens up and slings grease?

100% CV grease evidence. Perhaps there's a crack. Do you have a lift? I'd just take off the permanent band and install large hose clamps like all the lifted ones do.

Yes, I have the 2.5" MarkMC lift.
WHat type of grease should I use to repack the CV joint?
