The inexpensive WiFi host scanner I recently purchased from Amazon is ELM327 compliant per the description but using one of the IOS apps which supports WiFi and BT, I was unable to connect the App to the host with my iPhone using WiFi!
In the App settings, I selected ELM327 as the device protocol BUT made certain the IP address for the WIFi setting on my iPhone was set to 192.168.0.123. I believe that must be the compliant ELM327 default setting. How I determined that is another discussion but will share as requested.
