HVAC fan not working after sittting overnight,

This started one week ago. No HVAC fan operation in the morning. Manual mode, auto mode, defrost.... no fan at all, at any speed, at any temp. Later in the day (hours later), it will suddenly start working. From that point on, fan operation is normal... until the next morning...

Any ideas or suggestions ?

Symptomatic of a failing blower motor resistor. Easy fix, though some would disagree.

Is the fix, a new blower motor ?

the resistor pack is separate from the fan. Be sure to check the connector as well since they are know to fail as well.

Much less likely to be the motor than the speed control module or oxidized, overheated connector on the wiring harness.

It's at the dealer. They just called and said it was the blower motor.... Left it there overnight so they could verify the failure in the morning. It's under a CPO warranty so I figured I would let them sort it out.
