Found the return spring (I'm assuming) laying on the floor under the lever. I haven't tore into it yet but I wondering if there are any tricks I should know. Specifically The lever dosen't seem to have any way of being retained. I can slip it in the pivot but it will slide right back off with no effort.

Thanks

I can't look at mine right now but the spring could be pulling the lever so it stays in.

I thought the same but it just doesn't look it. Which in my world means it probably does... To actually remove it it looks like I have to remove the kick panel. I'll be on it this weekend. LMK what you can see.

Thanks.

Broken hinge pin. I looks like the spring is what holds the lever in place by clipping into a slot in the pin. Won't know for sure untill I see an unbroken one.

Grab a quick shot but it was late and the light was going. The spring does go around the lever's hinge pin.
