 what would you need to solder? Just use the adapters from the white LEDs.

These come with the adapters (and more LEDs )

Also for the cargo light you'll want 2 panels, so you'll need to make this

My cargo light is in the trash as i broke the lenses in half. The led panels i have are stuck to the roof liner.

I was under the impression of making my own kit would mean soldering leds to a circuit board:biggrin:

I have two panels in the cargo area, but want to go red in the rear.

Makes it all SOOO much better when it looks good and you see the burn marks on your hands from the 4am soldering seasons

Not really, if you use the right shade of red. Our tail lights are red and use a "white" bulb-actually a slightly yellowish filament bulb and they don't look orange. Pink maybe...but orange???? Just saying...
This isn't red to you??

So the LEDs aren't the array of colors, you're using white LEDs (or are they a different type of light source) with different color films then?

The top one does look red and white.
The second one looks amber.
The third one looks yellow.

I'm using white EL lighting and different color acetate film for colors.
