I installed a new gas tank fuel filler line yesterday. I had a hard time getting the new filler line into the rubber hose connected to the gas tank. I got it in and clamped it tight, but it doesn't seem like i got the new line into the hose as much as the original line. Is there a trick to make it easier to put the two together? Thanks

KY :rotfl: In all seriousness, I have no idea.

I'd heat it with a hair dryer and use some silicone spray.

Yep, me too. I have 2 of the wifes old hair dryers in the shop that I use make tubing pliable and easy to install and also for removing decals and stickers. I once even used a hair dryer to soften a bumper cover and perfectly pushed out a deep dent from behind.

A hair dryer is a handy tool indeed

I would say be extra careful with a hair dryer around the gas tank massive ventilation is in order. those things spark inside pretty easy.

I think the key is not to start the hair dryer under the car. I think the initial start up might spark and my wife would be an instant millionaire. thanks for the tip. I will try it.
