I have a 2004 trailblazer, V6. My fuel gauge shows full when topped up and the needle decends down with use but never goes below 1/4 tank. Anyone have ideas as to what the problem is? Thanks Jonnyboy:hissyfit:

Almost always the poorly designed fuel level sender. You're outside the years GM just issued a recall for. You have to drop the fuel tank to change it.

Welcome!

Are you a DIY'er or will you be calling a shop to do the work?

Assume the gauge goes properly to zero when you shut the truck off? If not it could be a bad gauge stepper motor.

Sometimes running some chevron techron through it helps. Unless of course you can't wait to drop the tank .
