Firestone airbags in rear coil springs. Questions.

I am going to install the Firestone air bags inside my stock coil springs. 2002 GMC Envoy, 4x4. The instructions show the air lines going out of the bottom. I see that as a potential problem with ground clearance. I do some offloading and picture the lines being damaged.

Does anyone use these air bags? How did you run the air lines? It looks like there is room to run the airlines out of the top.

Any suggestions? Thanks for any info.

Limited information I can give. I used them on my 2011 Ram 1500. I installed them back in 2011 so it's been a while (truck sold in 2017).

I remember letting the axle sag as much as it could without removing the shocks. I ran the air lines on top as you don't want the lines moving or flexing with the suspension.

I installed them in cooler weather so it was tougher, if they are warm, they are pliable.

My biggest issue was leaking at the Schrader valves, which were mounted on the rear bumper. I used one valve per bag, not tied together.
