I've been hearing about a fine screen that is under the oil pressure switch. While my Envoy is doing good after my new pressure switch, a Berryman's Crankcase soak, and running Valvoline Restore and Protect.

I'm wondering if there really is a screen under the pressure switch, if it would be worth taking the time to check it?

Does anyone know if the screen really exists?

No Screen... The Sensor has a Non-Permeable Membrane that responds to changes in Oil Pressure straight out of the upper Oil Filter Manifold via "The Piezo-Electric Principle".

I don't know in what context you heard about the oil pressure line screen but I do know there is such a screen in the attaching line of the GMT900 series V8's but there were none on the GMT800's and older. Again, that I know of.
