I found that front exhaust manifold exhaust nut is missing on my TB. Does anybody know what the specs are on this so I can go pick one up?

Thanks!

AFAIK, all the exhaust manifold has is bolts.
The heat shield uses a nut and stud combo. Unfortunately, I only have a torque setting (89 " lbs) not a nut size.

Item 11 or 12? This picture is from parts.nalleygmc.com where many of go often for parts questions, but shockingly the fasteners aren't listed on the web page I snagged the picture from as available. Must be somewhere else I don't have the time to drill down at the moment. They actually must be cheap - so if you don't want to buy a couple at the store and experiment, just go to a dealer.

Just a random question. Are you sure its missing and not snapped off bolt if your talking about manifold bolt not exhaust shield. Stick a pencil or something in hold see if it goes... just my 2 cents

That's it! I don't work on metric, so I don't have anything like it in my bolt bins. :hissyfit:

You own a modern vehicle? You're in metric-land now.

Recommend starting a new bolt bin, and going to Harbor Freight to stock it with an assortment. There's no going back to the bolt system used only by the USA, Liberia, and Myanmar (formerly Burma).

What arrogant asshats this country is keeping company with.

Yeah true it's newer, but I'm certainly not going to be doing work like I did/do on my 70/80/90's stuff.

Darn, I was going to guess M6, but I HATE to guess. You win.

I was going to impart a fishing lesson, but as long as I was there (and you had already checked the other site), I went ahead and posted it.
