Everything to do with the XUV tailgate and glass/roof works now, but the glass is slow going down and extremely slow going up and needs a bit of help.

Do I probably need a new window motor, or regulator, or both? It looks very difficult to lubricate compared to traditional side windows. In the past I could spray silicone spray in the tracks of side windows to help them move easier.

Can anyone tell me the correct part # for the regulator if I need it? Maybe the regulator includes the motor? Thanks.

It may seem like a facile suggestion to make towards such a Long Standing GMT Nation Member... So I guess you'll have to take a swing at my chin for even suggesting this link.

But... I know that somewhere among all pf these Videos there is a Dude who had a Multi-Part Rear Gate and Window Electrical Rebuild Series that may draw attention to the information you need the most.

So the endgate motor and regulator usually DO NOT come as an assembly for the endgate.

They are also inherently slow from the factory.

Bad news is that, as far as I know, the motors are no longer available..

Good news is that the regulator is still available.

1 year warranty (GM)

Lifetime (Dorman, I have had decent luck with them on the midgate)

Thanks. I did some more Googling this morning and discovered that Dorman regulator part. It may be worth a shot replacing that even though the motor is no longer available. The window does go up/down so the motor technically works.

I replaced the mid-gate with the Dorman regulator and it's been fine.

Maybe the motor just needs a bit of lube. A bit of oil might help at the same time as the regulator replacement.
