Envoy got a new Xmas toy installed! K&N CAI kit.

I am under no illusions that this will make a great difference in anything all by itself.
However when combined with a ported TB, Headers, Exhaust and any other air related mods that I can find; they will all aggregate into something spectacular!

I'm just starting with baby steps!

I looked up the cost of a new Magnacharger kit and fell of my chair.
I guess I was spoiled on the 5.7 where a used FA kit was only $2000.

I'm finding that most mods are priced almost exactly double going to 5.3l from the 5.7l.
Oh well, It'll just take me longer to modded out that's all.

Looking good! Just remember to keep the filter clean and properly oiled. K&N tend to let more dirty air in if you don't maintain it properly.

Ah, the sound!
I can't stand the sound of the CAI on the 4.2l, it's too much of a constant whine....BUT....
The sound on the 5.3l is Great! It has a nice growl to it.
