Envoy Elite? WTF

Spotted an Envoy Elite this morning on the way to work. Never had enough time to grab a pic. A little research shows its just a trim package but they seem pretty rare. I did a triple take trying to figure out what it was. Just when I thought I knew about all the different models.

was the elite a badge? Because that wont count since people seem to put SS on the envoy or any car they think they made cool lol

Plus I never heard of elite myself

The only thing I could find describing the Elite was a post on the OS. Badges, keychain, and a hitch cover lol Probably just an SLT with dealer installed trim package.

So something below the Denali trim...Maybe like the Northland Ford F150's we get here. A badge and an option package? It must have had a V8 to be an Elite right?

Looks like JUST badges and trinkets. Nothing substantial here other than a way for the dealer to pack on another chuck o' profit. The web site mentioned in that image is mostly defunct now.
