Engine won't start....

Hey guys,
So the other night it was 26 degrees. Car had started on second crank (normally not an issue) but only fired on 3 or 4 cylinders instead of 6.
Drove all the way home and could not get above 40 mph.
The next morning took forever to start and once again on 3 or 4 cylinders, then it fired on all 6. I took my foot of the throttle to let it idle
but it died and would not start again.
It cranks, the belt is moving all exterior parts and I think I hear the fuel pump turn on.... though it sounds different when I try to start it, like its not engaging....
Any thoughts?

Hi.

Can you please update your profile with the year/make/model and mileage. Also what maintenance has been done up till now?

Also can you please clarify how you know only 3 or 4 cylinders are firing? What specific troubleshooting steps have been done to bring you to that conclusion?

Also, do you have any check engine light on while running or any codes stored?

Welcome!!

And if it's above 100K, did you change the plugs, and did you use Delco 41-103 iridiums?

Was the fuel tank freshly filled? Could be contaminated fuel, ice, or a clogged fuel filter (for early years)
