Anyone had issues with key fob not working and the lift gate not locking even with the door button also every time I plug my ob2 scanned in the gauges cycle and I get a lost communication code lol

Could be a broken wire to the liftgate. Check the wires in the rubber grommet between the body and the liftgate by pulling on each one. They sometimes break inside the insulation without any outside evidence.

If you're desperate, boneyard might help. Just make sure you get right harness. Later trucks have two hots, one for module and one for wiper motor. Early trucks had only one hot in the connection above the headliner. You can pull on the harness at the body right after the flex connection and the connector will come out. You can use a meter to determine if you have voltage at the connector.

If you have power at the connector but not at the lift gate control module it is broken wire. Does your rear wiper work? What year is your truck?
