I need to replace the power steering pump on my 2006, 4.2, TB. I want to flush the system before replacing the pump by cranking the engine so it won't start. Is there an electrical plug to disconnect that will keep the coil-on-plug packs from firing without doing damage to spark plug firing system, and if so, where is it located?

I would disable fuel by removing the fuel pump relay in the front fuse box.

You had a good idea; didn't think about doing that one. Anyway, I replaced the steering pump with a Cardone rebuild and installed the Cardone aluminum bodied filter. Pump whine is gone and it runs well. Thanks.
