did the early TB look similar to the Blazer?

Just curious...before I bought a TrailBlazer, I didn't pay much attention to the other ones on the road. I've seen two different vehicles in town this week that looked pretty much like the 98-99 era Blazer but with TrailBlazer badges on the sides and back.

Nope, the early TB (2002) looks just like the last TB that rolled out of Moraine on 12/16/08, with only minor variations in trim, bumpers, etc.

Correction: Apparently before the 02-09 TB came out, there was a Trailblazer option package offered on the 99-01 Blazer. perhaps you saw one of those.

Well kind of there was a trim level on the early 2000's blazers and jimmy's that was the top level for them and got trailblazer and envoy badges

My Grandparents have I belive a 2000 or 2001 Envoy (Jimmy body style) Only real thing I noticed different was instead of Jimmy is says Envoy, and it has factory HID headlights, nothing different that I know of. But I may be wrong.

Trailblazer and Envoy were originally trim levels on the old GMT330 Blazer and Jimmy. Interior color schemes, exterior badging, front air dams, and wheel colors were unique to these packages. They stole some of the parts from the Bravada to stick on the GMC and Chevy. They stopped making the GMT330 Jimmies (and envoy package) and Bravadas in 2001 and also killed off the trailblazer package on the blazers because 2002 was the debut of the names on the GMT360 platform.

Actually, the 4 door Jimmy and Blazer was around until 2004; and, the 2 door trucks were made until 2005.

Jimmy was available in Canada after 01, but not with the envoy package and not at all in the US (where the OP lives). Blazer did continue in the us but the trailblazer version died off in 01.
