Change Oil Light

No matter how many miles I have on the oil, once I check the oil with the dip stick the Oil Change Light comes on. Now it only comes on at start up and only stays on for about a 2 minutes. Currently have about 15Kmi on the oil and it looks like new, check the oil level about 3 weeks ago and since then...oil light at start up.

Anyone know why or have any idea why this happens?

You need to reset it. Process is in the Owners Manual.

If you arent going by the light then just reset it everytime it comes on, it has no effect on anything...

Have ignition on acc. mode. Press brake in and let off 3 times b4 5 seconds if u have the DIC. This will reset the oil monitor.

Typical OLM trigger is around 10K. To stretch it to 15K without running an analysis is not anything I'd do, and I'm relatively frugal. Are you really stretching it that far?

That's a heck of a coincidence right there!

And the correct procedure for the non-dic reset is to turn the key to "run" (do not start) and press and release the gas pedal (to the floor) three times within five seconds.
