Can you Replace a 4L60E With a 4L70E

I have a 08 Trailblazer and wanted to know if you can replace a 4L60E with a 4L70E. More TB SS owners are replacing their 4L70E with 4L85E thus making good low mile 4L70E's available.

4l60 and 70 are virtualy the same. The 70 is just beefed up to handle more torque and hp. same tranny different guts sort of speak.

Tks, I was told to use a 2007-08 unit. 06 and 09 were different with the wiring.

Actually just the 09s...

06-08 70Es out of a TBSS/Aero are all wired the same (what counts). 09s are the oddball year, Id bet money the 09 I6s are the same way (oddball).
