Bad fan clutch?

Dad's engine is roaring, bad fuel economy with the v6 on a 2003 GMC Sonoma. No cel.

Engine runs rough on acceleration and has poor acceleration. Seems like fan clutch is bad?

Pretty similar to what happens in our trucks. The engine roars all the time and yes your fuel economy goes down as well. I had no CEL either when mine went bad.
