backlash adjustment of the ring gear

I looked thru the manual on the front drive axle and cannot find the section on how to check and adjust the pinion and backlash for the ring gear in the front differential as that seems to be my problem. My car makes a buzzing noise when i let off the gas and goes away when I hit the gas pedal again. Also I used Valvoline gear oil instead of amsol or dealer bought oil. Could that be affecting it at all??.. The noise started when I changed the oil or very close to then.

Gear backlash adjustment is not usually a DIY project. Check Randy's Ring and Pinion web site for more details. Also many other resources out there.

Did you use 75-90 synthetic?
