Anyone have a dead air ride compressor they'd sell me?

I'll try to post pics later but one of the few (known) remaining time-bombs on my 2006 Envoy XL that I've had about a year now, is the ECAS compressor unit. While it's (touching wood) still working fine, the motor shell is extremely rusted and I fear one day I'll start it up and hear the ECAS motor start and then eat itself because the shell has disintegrated. It's really that rusted. For a frame of reference, when I bought the vehicle both front strut tubes were rusted so badly oil was oozing through the rust. Also, the rear upper control arm mounts were done and have been replaced with Tim's pre-fabbed pieces which were excellent BTW.

To this end I've recently purchased a Dorman compressor from RA. I was reluctant to install it as the original packing box had been opened and looked like it was 50 years old. It worked for 10 days and then failed to generate pressure. A replacement is on the way, but while I'm back to using what I believe is the original Wabco compressor I'd like to investigate the possibility of transplanting the motor from the Dorman part to the OE pump as I feel it's probably of better build quality than the Dorman piece. Curious if anyone has ever attempted this. I'm guessing probably not since it's so much easier to just install coil springs.

So if anyone has a failed one of these sitting in a dusty pile of parts that they would part with, I'd be interested in using it as a lab rat to cut open and determine if removing / replacing the motor is feasible.

Slightly different yet related topic, but I found the Dorman compressor to be significantly louder than the OE pump.
