antenna cap

looking into an antenna mod (I heard about putting in under the plastic, too much of a process) my question is dose the cap affect the radio drastically, or is there any good one that keep stereo service?

If your out on the fringes of reception, you'll find it will be worse with the shorter antenna. Just less area to grab a radio signal. If you in a major metropolitan area you'll probably not notice a difference since you'll have plenty of signal strength.

Or you can get a nut and 2 washers that fit the antenna stud and some wire. Clamp one end of the wire (stripped) between the washers and hide the wire in the engine compartment.
